**** I Mother Earth -- Scenery and Fish

This was a cut out for $9 (nine bucks for a cutout?) that I picked up with the cheapo used CDs this weekend. Borders on the prog-metal area, but the lack of keyboards gives this Canadian band a harder edge than Dream Theater or Enchant. Even has a bluesy track ("Three Days Old"), but bluesy in the metal sense like Great White. Last track an admitted Santana rip off. Very good, especially if you're into heavier stuff, but want a little creativity, variety and higher caliber musicianship than say Coroner or King Diamond. This is a multimedia CD, which has a MacroMind Director presentation you can play on a Mac or PC (includes some background, sound and video snippets).
